The small but stunning Santorini is like no other place I’ve visited and despite putting it off for the last couple of years, it is now one of my favourite European cities. If it's not on your bucket list, then I suggest you swiftly add it.
Last weekend we went on a last minute road trip to the Rabac. A small sea side town in the Istrian region of Croatia and I think I have just found my new favourite Croatian city!
So I’m going to start this post off by being totally up front with you. Since living in Europe, I’ve actually put off visiting Santorini. Always opting to spend our summers exploring countries that had a little more action and sight seeing like Croatia. Shocking, I know! But I genuinely thought that despite the caldera views, Santorini didn't have much to offer aside from overpriced food and overcrowded sunsets.Unlike most first timers in Santorini, I opted to stay in Imerovigli as opposed to Oia. Mainly because I found a decent deal on what looked like a great hotel and secondly, given that we were going in June I was hoping to stay away from the Oia crowds.
How could I start a travel blog without dedicating my first post to the amazing city in which I get to call home — Padova. Situated in the heart of northern Italy and only a stone’s throw away from Venice, Padova is not nearly as celebrated as it should be but definitely deserves recognition.
