Rochelle from EUWTH.
Those of you that know me, know that food is my weakness. You know how all those healthy, crossfit loving, vegan, cherish your body, F45 fanatics, that tell you that ‘you only live once and you should take care of your body’?
Yeah well, I feel the same way about food! If I only get to live once, I’m definitely going to be ordering dessert first and asking for that extra caramel sauce on my panna cotta. You feel me?
Anyways enough about me, my ‘Share the Wanderlust’ guest today understands where I’m coming from. Right Rochelle?
Rochelle is one third of the foodie trio that is ‘Eating up with the Hannashians‘. If you hail from Sydney and are on Instagram then no doubt you know who these lovely ladies are and if you don’t well, you’re welcome.

Rochelle and her sisters are basically the food Godfathers of Sydney. Not only trying and indulging themselves at Sydney’s best restaurants and cafes, but also offer a side of humour and tips and tricks.
I once got distracted on Instagram by them making a pancake and ice cream cake using McDonalds pancakes and McFlurry’s. It looked ahhhmazing!
Rochelle has been kind enough to answer some questions for ‘Share the Wanderlust’ and tell us a little bit about their recent trip to Europe. Enjoy!

1. For those who aren’t familiar with Eating up with the Hannashians, describe what all the fuss is about?
We are three sisters from Western Sydney who love eating out so much that three years ago we started an Instagram all about food and where we love to eat. The rest is history! We just really love food and I think people can really relate to it.
2. You recently spent several weeks touring Europe with Contiki. What was your favourite destination and why?
I would say Italy, it’s so beautiful. Everyone is so lovely and the food is molto bene. ♥️♥️

3. What was the best meal of the entire trip and where was it?
We stopped in Genoa for a few hours and we found this really amazing restaurant, the food was INSANE! (see below) Pesto originated in Genoa (we had no idea until we learned this on the way there thanks to our tour guide Cam) and they had this dish where the pasta was coated in pesto but the pasta was more like lasagne style sheets and it was just so good! It’s hard to choose just one meal because we had so many but that meal was so fabulous and I really could have stayed at that restaurant for hours!
Pesto & pasta goodness in Genoa.
4. If you could choose the ultimate destination to travel to purely for the food and culture, where would it be and why?
Italy! I know I keep saying Italy but I plan on going back next year for a month with my sisters and friends and just driving around eating and drinking everywhere. There’s something crazy about Italy. It’s like when you watch under the Tuscan Sun or Master of None (season 2) when he lives in Modena for a while, that vibe you get when you watch it is what it feels like to be in Italy… I’m obsessed!!!
5. Top three bucket list destinations?
Hmmmmm this ones tricky because I want to go everywhere but I’ve always really, really wanted to go to Marrakech in Morocco and I am absolutely dying to stay at Amangiri in Utah. Also I would love to go to Miami. I love hot weather!
Gelato in San Gimignano, Tuscany.
6. Top three favourite dishes?
This question is impossible to answer because I have so many favourites but I can share a few of my faves that I have often. First is the Luigi pizza from Gigino which is our favourite Italian eatery in the world. That pizza is my absolute favourite! I’m also obsessed with the lava cake from XS Espresso (or Dominos if I’m feeling lazy). And, I hope no one hates me after the next one but I am obsessed with KFC, fried chicken is my weakness. If I had to have one last meal it would include these three items for sure!
7. Top three favourite Sydney restaurants/cafes/pubs?
I can’t even name three because I have SO many. All of them are up on our gram though so I would suggest scrolling through and following us to see where we go next.
